What is the cost of the class?
The class includes a free study guide, the 7 hour course instruction, exam, and certificate upon passing. The cost of the class starts at $135.
Do I have to take the course prior to taking the exam?
No, you may elect to take the exam only. The cost for the exam only option is $119. Please contact us to discuss this option further.
What if I don't pass?
We offer a passing guarantee, which means if you do not pass after attending the course instruction, you may retake the exam with us free of charge. The exam only option is not eligible for the passing guarantee.
How long will my certificate be valid?
As of July 1, 2007, all ServSafe certifications in California are valid for 5 years.
How is the exam administered?
The exam consists of 80 multiple choice questions and is administered at the end of the class. You must score 75% or higher to pass or get 60 or more correct. Scores will be available immediately after taking an online exam. You can check the status of your exam at www.servsafe.com.
How do I register?
You can register and submit payment online by accessing the online registration form. You will receive your study guide and pretest via email, within 24 hours of registering.
