FAQ

What is the cost of the class?
The class includes a free study guide, the 7 hour course instruction, exam, and certificate upon passing. The cost of the class starts at $139.

Do I have to take the course prior to taking the exam?
No, you may elect to take the exam only. The cost for the exam only option is $119. Please contact us to discuss this option further.

What if I don't pass?
You may take the examination twice within a thirty day period, if necessary. If a third attempt is required, you must wait at least sixty days from their last attempt.

How long will my certificate be valid?
As of July 1, 2007, all ServSafe certifications in California are valid for 5 years.

How is the exam administered?
The exam consists of 80 multiple choice questions and is administered at the end of the class. You must score 75% or higher to pass or get 60 or more correct. Scores will be available immediately after taking an online exam. You can check the status of your exam at www.servsafe.com.

What should I bring to the class?
You must be at least 18 years of age or older, and bring a valid photo ID. You must also bring your WIFI ready device (laptop, tablet, or iPad). The exam will be administered online.

How do I register?
You can register and submit payment at www.yisraelfamilyfarm.eventbrite.com.

CHANGE OR CANCELLATION POLICY: You may change/cancel your registration up to 72 hours before the start of class. If you are within the 72 hour window, and need to cancel, please contact us to reschedule. There will be a $65 reschedule fee, but you do not have to pay full price for the class.

NO REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON.

Judith Yisrael, along with her husband, own and operate The Yisrael Family Urban Farm where she teaches herbalism, cooking & canning classes and other homesteading skills. Prior to cofounding the farm, Judith held management roles in the restaurant & beverage industry for about 30 years and has a Bachelor's degree in Business. Judith is a community educator, Certified ServSafe Instructor, member of the the American Herbalist Guild, and honorary board member for African Americans for Balanced Health.
